The Winter Queen
Snow is falling like frosted lace,
Stars kiss my cheeks with a gentle embrace.
Death creeps stealthily,
Draping his dark cloak on the woods.
There upon the velvet grass
Frosty blankets glint like glass,
Cobwebs shine brightly
With an ethereal glitter.
Water, wind, fire and earth,
Dying with the winter's birth
The haughty Winter Queen rides by
The promise of spring is there in her eye.
