MY LIFE SO FAR

My name is Dominic. My parents decided that name while they were in a car arguing. In my family I have my dad and my brother. My mum died in 2005.

I want to make computer games when I am older. It is my greatest ambition - whenever I have to write about my greatest ambition, I choose that one, of course. My idea for this came to me when I was very young, only about six or seven. But every day I fire questions at myself. The number one question is what I am writing about here today, of course? Well, flick back to the title and you will see it is about my life so far.

So would you like to hear into my private mind? Okay, you hungry raven. Things like... What would I take from my house above all others? Answer: My cat, Moglet who my mother bought when he was a kitten. He always had an attachment to me. Also... What place do I feel makes me happy and safe? Let's see... My living room. It gives me a large amount of comfort and Kieran* doesn't always barge in. My room... that's a different story - I can't keep him out!

My earliest memory is my third birthday (I think) - it was after it was over and my brother was trying to eat the balloons. I think he thought they were cake.

My life had some strange events in it, like once inside my house I heard a sound like a bird yet like a girl screaming, a terrible sound of pure terror. It was more frightening than anything I ever heard - it was almost a year ago. And I don't want it again, believe me. I don't know who or what it was and I don't want to know.

Well, my life has been like a roller-coaster, hasn't it? There have been good times and bad times (more bad than good if you ask me) but that doesn't mean I have no future or no future without bread. If I had no future then I would be gone before I finished this sentence. But I realised long ago that I have many great things to do, in a life full of happiness. Everything is just a hurdle. That concludes my life, my great happy life.

*You've guessed it - my brother
